I think that since we when with globalization, it has really hurt the small business owner, because alot of jobs are out sourced and that fewer and fewer people are actually coming into the local store to do their shopping.
I think this could go either way because globalization has both positive and negative effects on small businesses. The web gives us the possibility to link up and outsource parts of our services and enable global effort. On the other hand, people see it has a negative impact because it exploits the developing world and results in jobs being transferred to other countries. Job insecurity is a major problem because people live in fear everyday about losing their jobs due to competition or getting a possible decrease in pay.
